On the Sunnier Side

I have quite a bit to write about light requirements, but until that happens, here is a useful list for your sunny areas. Sun may mean six or more hours of direct sun, or morning sun and then afternoon sun that adds up to about six hours. Light is accumulative. I also suggest reading each plant description for further details. Many plants that like a lot of sun also enjoy a lot of moisture. Some of them will grow perfectly well in less sun and moisture and it can be a strategy for curtailing the strongest growers to site them in less than optimal conditions. 

One thing I can say right now is that plants want to grow and will grow in surprising places, often where humans did not think they could manage, so don't get too rule bound. Observe and take note of the specific situation.
