Sizes available: #1 (Trade gallon)
Basics: zones 3-9, 18-24" x 15", full sun, light pink flowers with a purple calyx bloom along an upright stem in early to mid summer, as the flowers age they fade to a paler pink or white, medium to lean fertility soils that are well-drained. Doesn't like winter wet. Since this is a cultivar of Woodland Sage, I wonder if it can take a bit more shade than advertised. I will keep you posted.
Common names: Salvia, Woodland Sage, Balkan Clary, Blue Sage, Wild Sage
Family: Lamiaceae
Origin/Distribution: This is a cultivar the species Salvia nemerosa which is native to Central Europe and western Asia.
Habitat: open groves and woodland edge
More: I am looking forward to trying these in bouquets. This is an easy-going perennial that has long been cultivated and hybridized. This cultivar has a good re-blooming response to dead-heading (or cutting).
