Basics: zone 3-8, 18-36" (can get as tall as 60") and is a spreader, part to full shade, tiny white-ish green flowers bloom in summer. Wants a rich and moist woodland soil.

More: The new spring growth is edible cooked, stinging hairs, inner stem fiber can be woven and used for cordage and matting, larval host (Red Admiral and various gall-formers), Has the potential to hold back invasive species. Leafy growth shades the ground and offers a cool moist summer habitat. More info soon.
