Common names: Spotted Deadnettle

Family: Lamiaceae

Origin/Distribution: The species is found in Europe, northern parts of Africa and west Asia.

Habitat: It's native habitat includes disturbed areas, higher altitude pasture or field, woodland, hedges, stream or creek bank.

More: There are numerous cultivars of Lamium maculatum and it is a classic garden ground cover. It is adaptable and a good grower, but also easy to edit. The silvery leaves and white blooms of 'White Nancy' make it an excellent shade garden participant both in and out of flower. Good for the border edge, or under deciduous trees and shrubs.
