Basics: zones 2-9, 4-6" x 12-18", full sun, charming pale pink flowers in early to midsummer, needs impeccable drainage and prefers alkaline soils.

Origin/Distribution: Found in southern Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Pacific Islands.
Habitat: Native habitat is well-drained, limestone-rich environments at elevations between 3000 and 7500 feet.
More: Finely textured, grey green leaves, mat-forming. Good for front of a sunny border, rock wall or rock garden. Trim back after bloom to refresh. Blooms attract butterflies, moths, and hummingbirds. Good ground cover. Would look pretty with Festuca glauca and Echinacea pallida.
