Sizes available: Landscape plug (72 size), These landscape plugs are small, well-rooted plants, but I recommend potting them up and growing them on for 4-12 weeks prior to planting in the garden.
Basics: zones 5-7, 12-15" x 15", sun to part sun, a cloud of tiny, very pale lavender to white flowers in the summer, likes it dry to medium with good drainage
Common names: Calamint
Family: Lamiaciae
Origin/Distribution: This subspecies is native to the Mediterranean and parts of Europe
More: Fine-textured, mint-scented foliage, very attractive to pollinators, 2021 Perennial Plant Association's Plant of the Year. This plant blooms for weeks and weeks. And it is so pretty! Responds well to a hair cut if it gets too rangy for you. It thrived in a sunny, well-drained planting at my house in Brooks during the summer of drought (2025) and it is a plant that I would rather not do without. I imagine it will seed around if happy. I hope so.
