Common names: This is a Lady Fern cross.

Origin/Distribution: This fern is a cross between Athyrium felix-femina, Lady Fern and Athyrium niponicum var. pictum, Japanese Painted Fern
Habitat: The favored habitat of Athyriums is shady, moist woodland soils. They are found growing with both hardwoods and conifers, near shaded stream banks, and in damp, forested ravines.
More: This is a lovely fern to add to a shady area for both its texture and coloration. It will slowly creep to form a good-sized clump, but it takes awhile.
