Sizes available: True gallon
Basics: zones 5-8, 24-30" x 36", part sun to part shade, cream colored bloom in mid summer, ltextured eaves emerge a bronzy color in spring, turn greener as they enlarge and the temperature warms, and then become more coppery-red as the season cools. This Rodgersia appreciates quite a moist soil and especially in brighter conditions, needs it to do well.
Common names: Rodger's Flower
Family: Saxifragaceae
Origin/Distribution: The species is from China (Sichuan and Yunnan provinces)
Habitat: stream edges and shady woodlands that stay moist
More: A mature specimen can have pinnate leaves measuring twelve inches across. This is a handsome and architectural perennial that grows well in a bog garden, or at a stream or pond edge, but also in a consistently moist lightly-shaded spot. Makes a beautiful container specimen, as its water needs can be met easily in a more controlled environment.
