Basics: zones 3-7, 6-24" tall, will spread, full to part sun (maybe part shade), whorls of tiny flowers bloom at each leaf axil in late summer to early fall, wet to medium wet and not particular as to soil type.
Common names: Northern Water Horehound
Family: Lamiaceae
Origin/Distribution: present in 40 states including all of New England, and 4 Canadian Provinces. Native to Maine.
Habitat: Found in wetlands, flood plains and low, wet, boggy places. This is an obligate wetland species.
