Basics: zones 5-7, 36-48" x 48", part sun to part shade, the bloom is a pale pinky/purple and occurs in early spring prior to the leaves, this is a large bog plant that needs moisture.

Habitat: mountain streams, cool and moist woods
More: D. peltata can take quite a bit of shade in its native habitat but may do better in our climate with a bit more sun. If you don't have wet conditions try it in a big pot without drainage holes. Has been used medicinally. Young shoots can be eaten raw.
